Translating Research into Educational Material

Workshop Presentation: Pathways to Evolution

Education Video for Student: Channel Islands National Park

Inspired by the power of connecting real-world science to classroom learning, I have completed multiple competitive fellowships with the National Park Service and UC Santa Barbara. During these programs, I contributed to ongoing scientific research and transformed those experiences into hands-on, standards-aligned lessons designed to inspire learners of all ages. These lessons have been presented at conferences, featured in teacher trainings, and shared widely with educators to bring authentic science into the classroom.

Sample of Work:
Channel Islands National Park
- 2019: Conservation & Oak Cloud Forest Recovery on Santa Rosa Island
-2020: Population and Health Assessment of Rare and Endangered Plants
-2021: Demographic study of hybridized endemic Indian Paint Brush Plant

UC Santa Barbara
- 2022 & 2023: Investigating Native California Wildflowers to Understand Evolution
