Community Education Programs

As Volunteer Programs Coordinator at OC Coastkeeper, I developed inclusive marine science programs for community members, with a focus on engaging elementary-aged students. Recognizing the need for accessible ocean conservation education, I created the Kids Care program, a solutions-based marine debris curriculum that allowed young learners to engage directly with the marine ecosystem and become stewards in their communities. The program remains active today, reaching over 4,600 students.

In addition to curriculum development, I led large-scale volunteer events, managed public relations and grant budgets, developed marketing strategies, and trained volunteer staff. This experience strengthened my ability to deliver mission-driven public programming, a skill set I am eager to bring to any education team.
