As a classroom educator, my primary goal is to empower all students to think critically and like scientists, grounded in the philosophy that the best way to learn science is to do science. All of my lessons are NGSS-aligned and centered on real-world phenomena and modern scientific research, providing students with authentic, hands-on learning experiences.

I have designed and implemented projects that bridge classroom learning with real-world application, including a sustainability-focused engagement program that used data storytelling and problem-solving frameworks to inspire critical thinking about the climate crisis. I translated cutting-edge research into classroom practice by developing and publishing an NGSS-aligned unit available to high school educators, and I led a statewide professional development session for California teachers, modeling best practices in place-based science instruction.
